About

Hi! My name is Adam and I'm a husband, a father, and a technologist at heart. I enjoy most sports, but basketball is my absolute favorite (GO SUNS!!). I also love to take difficult problems and solve them! While most of my work experience has been in the Software QA specialty, I have a keen interest in Front End Development and creating great user experiences. In my career I have worked in both large and small companies which has given me a wide variety of experiences. I have written detailed test plans as well as performed extensive exploratory testing. Along the way I have gained valuable experience in leadership, automation, and in improving existing business processes. I approach my work with a user-first mindset while utilizing my technical knowledge to solve hard problems creatively. It’s important to me to come at an issue from all sides to achieve the best result.

Projects

  • Oakhill Christian Church Oakhill Christian Church (Design Completed 7/19)

This project is a complete redesign of the Oakhill Christian Church website which serves as a portal for members and visitors alike. The site is moving from a CMS themed website to a customized web app due to the lack of need to change content frequently. All of the html and css coding for this app site was completed working off of a hand-drawn piece of paper as the design guide. My process involved breaking each section down into it's components to reuse as much styling as was possible. The site employs a css-only, mobile-only menu and fully responsive design written in SCSS and utilizing BEM methodology. There are also future plans to utilize the Vimeo API to display content from the latest videos uploaded to their Vimeo channel.
